Oh for the short walk.
This was a very pleasant walk today, through the olive and orange groves.
Some really pretty scenery and good terrain.
The last leg was a bit of a slog as the recent rain had eroded the track so you needed firm foot placement.
We had our lunch by the wayside.
A yummy Jamon and queso pan!
We managed to find a three pack of packed olives. Cristy ate her pack of olives, my appetite is all over the place at the moment, so I am still carrying my pack of olives.
We arrived to the municipal Albergue and met up with all our amigos we have been walking with, Roberto, Giovanni❤, Hugo, all from Italy, Mercedes and Andres from Spain, Elizabeth from Switerland and we met Salvatore and Bridgit at dinner.
A frenzy was had washing all the clothes as we had heaps of time and the sun is still up at 8pm. Then showers and a quick siesta, before Cristy, Elizabeth and I went into the town to get food for the humongous walk the next day.
Cristy and I got distracted at a bar, 3 cervazas later, 2plates of olives and a cheese and biscuit snack, we left with our ready made boccodillos, jamon&queso, to go to the supermacardo, to get fruitas!
Elizabeth had left earlier so on our way back to the Albergue we stopped for the pilgrims menu and we were then joined by 2 Austrians, 2 Germans, 1 Italian and 2 Spanish, great night, we made plans to walk with those that were walking in the morning.
Lets just say that out of the 9 people at dinner only 3 of us walked the whole way today, the other 6 got taxis and missed the first 16kms.
To bed for an early start in the morning.
Well done girls, hope the blisters all settled by morning, thinking of you lots
